Good Lord, this lipstick is almost too unbelievably gorgeous.

Another superstar from MAC’s fabulous Fafi collection, this sold out, limited edition lipstick is a stunning “Coral rose with rainbow pearl”, according to MAC.

What that lovely description means is that Strawbaby is a beautifully rosy lipstick, with the MAC lustre texture giving it a wonderfully moist (but not sticky or shiny!) look. The lipstick is versatile enough to be worn during both the day and the night, and it has very good staying power too.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey

Here’s a lipstick that has developed quite a cult following: the Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey.

This colour is absolutely gorgeous. Black Honey is a little intimidating when you look at it in the case because it appears almost black – hence the name.

But just try a little on and look at what happens: It will wear on you as this extremely sheer, beestung red, enhancing your natural lip colour so you look as if you’ve been biting your lips – very bloodshot and incredibly hot.

So is it a lipstick? Not really, it’s not so waxy. Is it a lip gloss? Not anywhere near sticky enough. So what, exactly, is it? Think of it as a lip balm, albeit a highly-pigmented one.

The downside? It doesn’t last long, especially if you are eating/drinking/kissing. But part of the fun of lipstick is re-applying it, so it’s really not so bad.

Perfect for girls who don’t usually wear make up, and even more perfect for girls who go for the very cheeky “makeup – what makeup?” look.

Great for days when you just want to look understated but still pretty!
